A portion of Glenridge Road between Bradt Road and Bruce Drive in Clifton Park and Glenville will be closed for about seven days beginning Monday, July 16 at 9 a.m.
The closure is due to necessary construction at the site. The grade of the hill will be reduced so the road follows a more gradual incline. There will also be minor road realignment and gutter and drainage work during the closure.
A detour will go along Route 146, Alplaus Avenue and Maple Avenue and drivers should expect delays. All properties in the area will remain accessible to residents and emergency responders.
Motorists are reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver’s license.
